她之前曾在北京一所大学教授美国外交政策和国际关系。她持有商学硕士和政治学学士学位，并获得犹他大学颁发的国际关系证书。她有多年国际公司的工作经验，曾在加利福尼亚州、犹他州、内华达州、弗吉尼亚州和华盛顿特区等地工作过。而她的挑战精神也让她在海军后备队服役6年，并尝试过蹦极、跳伞、和舞蹈剧团在日本演出等。在过去的20年里，她通过社区服务项目教授小孩、青少年和成人。丰富的经历使她拥有风趣幽默的口语讲课风格。她的兴趣爱好包括跑步、游泳、美术、骑行、网球、爬山、教授公共演讲和业务展示或课堂展示。她的座右铭是“不论我们年岁几何，我们永远是在学习的途中，永远可以享受生命的活力与美好”。

Ms. Lorraine Foster was recently teaching American Foreign Policy and International Relations at a University in Beijing and is now delighted to be teaching English at RDF International School to begin the 2017–18 school year.  She has a Master’s Degree in Business, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Certificate in International Relations from the University of Utah.  Her background includes many years working in the corporate world in various capacities in California, Utah, Nevada, Virginia, and Washington D.C.  Her courageous spirit has taken her on many adventures, including six years in the Naval Reserves, bungee jumping, sky-diving, and performing with a dance troupe in Japan.  She has taught children, teens, and adults through community programs for the past 20 years and is looking forward to teaching fun and exciting Oral English classes.  Her hobbies include running, swimming, art, biking, playing tennis, hiking, lecturing, and tutoring in presentations and pubic-speaking.  Her motto is "No matter our age, we can always be learning and participating in the living of life."
