Q1: What is your hobby?
A1: I like cooking. (because) I like to create new dishes.
I do, I like,
What kind of dishes have you created?"
Q1: What is your hobby?
A2:Cooking is my hobby. I must admit I am a person who often gets bored easily. But I have never been bored about cooking, not for a second.
Q1:What is your hobby?
A3:Cooking is my hobby. Last week I brought pancakes to the office and shared with my workmates. My friends could not believe that these pancakes were created by me and they all think I am very talented.
Describe a place that features water.
You should say:
Where the place is
What kinds of features this place has
What you can enjoy in this place
And explain why you think this place is special.
1。Intro - Sydney Darling Harbour, Water
2。Q1:location - Sydney CBD
3。Q2:features - fireworks,food services
4。Q3:What to enjoy - food,companion, relax
5。Q4: Why special - (past tense)- good memory with firends 「
6。Conclusion
「Intro」Today I am more than happy to share this special place, Sydney Darling Habour, which I am pretty sure has a lot of water. During my speech, I would like to present this place's location, features and what you can do there and why I think this place is special.
「Q1」Now I would like to give you a brief idea about its location. You know Sydney has many bays and harbours. What makes this darling harbour so popular? It is because it is actually part of Sydney CBD. Based on my calculation, it is about 10mins walking from Sydney QVB or Central Railway.
[Q2] Apart from the location, you may ask what features it have? I would say that it possibly has the best food, a beautiful firework on every Saturday. In addition, you also have a chance to enjoy the beautiful sunshine and the harbour with Australian beer.
[Q3] In terms of what to enjoy, for me the answer is that you can escape from busy Sydney's workdays and enjoy every bit of the weekend with someone you like or love with a delicious food and drink.
[Q4] The reason I like this place a lot is that I have several good memories. I can easily remember every time I laughed, walked, danced along with my friends there. That's the place I like most in Sydney.
[Conclusion] I do recommend you to visit Sydney Darling Harbour. I am pretty sure you will have a good memory there if you have not had one yet. Thank you.
2 口语其实也是有模版的,用用apart from,in terms of, the reason I like is等等,都能有效帮助你强化整个演讲的节奏和结构感。
Describe one of your neighbours
- When did you become neighbours?
- Do you often meet?
- State whether your neighbour is a good one?
1. Intro - Neighbour - John
2. Q1: when - DID - 2012 summer - feeling [我又标注了DID,用来在说的时候提醒自己这一段是过去式]
3. Q2: Often meet? How? What? - every Saturay - driving lessons - feeling
4. Q3: Good neighbour? - yes - good example to follow - feeling
5.Conclusion - appreciation
[Intro] Good afternoon, today I am happy to introduce my neighbour John who I also appreciate very much as a friend to you. I would like to share with you when we became neighbour, how often we meet and I am going to convince you that he is such a good neighbour.
[Q1] Now let's start with the time. I remember it was 2012 Summer that I first moved to my current apartment. My neighbour John saw me lifting small furniture and packages and he instantly offered me a hand. You understand that relocating can be frustrating. What he offered that day not only made it easier but also offered me such a friendship.
[Q2] Since 2012 that summer, we often hang out during the weekend. The new activity we recently have is an one on one driving lesson with John's car. I have to admit that John is such a good teacher that he makes "push the accelerator", "brake", "turn on the indicators" very easier to follow and not scary at all.
[Q3] So far I hope I have convinced you that he is such a good neighbour who are always there to help. Apparently, it is not everyday you will meet someone who are willing to use his own car and take his own Saturday morning to teach a bad driver like me how to drive!
[Conclusion] Finally, I really appreciate I have John as my neighbour. I can easily go on and on talking about what he has helped me. Thank you.
Q1: Should women stay at home or go out to look for jobs?
A1: I do believe and support the idea that women need to go out to work. One of the main reasons is that I believe we all as human beings need to have our career development and this obviously requires people to go out to look for jobs. In addition, I believe staying at home is not a good option for women because women cannot make a good income by doing only housework. Quite frankly, better income often means more money to spend on enjoyment and that's what we all are looking for.
I do, you do, he/she does, 一直用I am, you are, he/she is,你自己都会讲到无聊了吧。就好像别人问你how are you?
Q1 How are you?
A2:Fine as always. (because) I am that kind of person who enjoys everyday at work.
例如
Q2 What do you think about governments should spend more money on education? A2 to be honest, I am not a big fan who believes it is government job to spend more on people's education.
Q3 How are you?
A3 - It could be worse but hopefully it will get better soon. / It has been a good day so far for me.
例如
Q4 What do you think about governments invest on travelling to Mars?
A4 From my perspective of view, investing on things such as travelling to other planets is not a waste of money.
1. It would be better if you tend to use English to explain/describe things which you would like to say but you cannot find a simple word to describe.
I don't like his driving style. What he normally does on the road is that he will challenge every single yellow light he has met and he will challenge every single person who dare to drive faster than him. He is simply lucky that he has not been involved in a car accident yet. But I do think it is a matter of time.
你应该想办法用你已知的英语来解释这个词,比如this is such a moment that I simply didn't know what to do and what to say. My brain was working so hard but not a single word could come out of my mouth.
2. Be specific or your English is powerless.
比如当你说到这是一个非常非常小的概率,你大概第一时间会想说this is such a small chance. 如果你口语词汇好点,你可能会说this is such a tiny little chance. 但是我觉得如果你能说出this chance is as tiny as winning a lotto. This is such a small chance. I don't think I could repeat what happened that day even if I give another thousand times trying.
3. Body language is very important. Eye contact is a must.
I don't care about what you say but I do care how you deliver it.
